What is your role at SCF?
I manage grantmaking and community leadership activities on behalf of the foundation. This includes developing process for allocating resources to nonprofit sector, as well as the conceptualization of signature initiatives and foundation programs, such as the Next Gen on Board youth empowerment program. In this role, I also help to build the foundation’s knowledge through participation in regional networks and conducting original research – including county-wide surveys, listening sessions and empathy interviews with community-based partners and residents – which serves to assess local needs, inform innovative solutions, and increase awareness of impactful investment opportunities.

What do you like most about working at the foundation?
My favorite thing about working at SCF is working with a passionate, talented group of women. I also love being able to engage with incredible community-based organizations and various sectors to work towards making our communities better.

What is your favorite thing to do in Stanislaus County?
As a Turlock resident, the Downtown shops and eateries are fantastic.  A must each year is picking up fresh lavender at Pageo Lavender Farm, Ram Farms for local pumpkins, and the annual Christmas parade downtown.

Cats or Dogs?
Dogs! Especially my duo Jade (Lab) and Benji (Maltipoo).

Favorite podcast?
Tamarindo Podcast & anything True Crime.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Night owl.
