Zack Garza

Zechariah Garza is a senior at California State University Stanislaus majoring in Organizational Communications as well as getting his Office Administration certificate from Modesto Junior College. Next year Zack will be attending Capella University in pursuit of his Masters in Science in Human Resources. Zack is very ambitious when it comes to all aspects of life and aspires to be a leader and example for the younger generation. His heart is for people and trying to make the community a place where the younger generation can succeed. When Zack was born he was diagnosed with the worst form of cerebral palsy. Medical professionals projected Zack to barely talk and be in a mouth powered wheelchair. 21 years later the only thing Zack uses is a walker for long distances. He has held past positions as a marketing director and HR/Donor outreach positions for several companies. Outside of work and school Zack is very passionate about fitness and the gym. He’s also very involved in the community where he volunteers his time at his local high school as well as being the sports journalist for his local town paper. Zack looks forward to joining this program to inspire positivity and a fresh outlook in Stanislaus County.

As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Zack is serving a two-year term on Society for Disabilities’ Board of Directors beginning July 2021.
