Mylton Cruz
Mylton Cruz was born and raised in Manteca, CA for most of his youth. He spent 3 of those years living in Temixco, Morelos, in a small Colonia called Los Presidentes. He returned to the U.S. during high school. Shortly after graduating in 2015, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served a 4-year term in Fort Campbell, Tennessee. Upon his return, he attended Las Positas college in Livermore and received an associate's in social work and human services. He then had the opportunity to intern with the Stanislaus County Probation department; this was the beginning of his passion for this county.
After one year of interning with Probation, Mylton transitioned to work for Youth For Christ. Working with YFC, he currently oversee a mentoring program for justice involved youth and am the co chaplain for our county's juvenile detention facility. He is a recent graduate of CMN's LLI 2025. Throughout all this, he has found what God's calling for his life is. He has a passion to help justice involved youth and at-risk youth, some of the most vulnerable in our community. From his own upbringing and life experience, Mylton truly knows what it's like to be in their shoes and how having a positive role model can change the trajectory of their lives.
Mylton has the most amazing wife and two wonderful children. He spends most of his free time with them. In between family and work, he enjoys working out, finding new music, and spending time with loved ones.
