Mariah Ring

Mariah Ring is a Bay Area native that found herself in the Central Valley after being accepted to UC Merced. During her time in college, she joined Circle K International, where she found a passion for community service and fellowship. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, Mariah pursued a career pathway in education and spent six years working primarily with children with learning differences.

Mariah joined Empower 8, a wellness focused nonprofit, in 2022 and rediscovered her love for community work. She currently serves as the organization's Director of Outreach and Communications, where she spearheads their digital newsletter, Rooted. She hopes to push the organization into its new era where they can better meet the needs of the community, providing youth with the tools they need to better themselves and those around them.

Though not a Stanislaus County native, Mariah has found her place in the community and intends on staying to witness the growth that is already taking place. She is excited to help create change in Modesto and beyond, hoping to inspire others to be the change they want to see.

As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Mariah is serving a two-year term on NPO Board of Directors beginning October 2025.
