The Health Careers Fund bolsters health career pathways by investing in programs that train, upskill local talent, and strengthen the talent pipeline for local health careers.
Grant cycle overview
The grant cycle aims to bolster health career pathways in Stanislaus County by investing in programs or projects that train and prepare individuals for careers in healthcare, help upskill local talent to advance in the healthcare field, and strengthen pathways into health careers. Both existing projects as well as pilot/demonstration projects will be considered.
funding priorities
Projects or programs that increase healthcare training, especially for underrepresented groups
Support credentialing, certification, licensure programs or career exploration
Demonstrate pathways to employment or career advancement
Help fill local healthcare workforce gaps
Support any capital/technology/equipment needs for existing programs
application details
A grant cycle with $250,000 in funding will be open May 30 – June 30, 2025. Funding requests may range from $15,000 – $50,000. If awarded, the award amount may vary.
Eligibility
Must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code or have a fiscal sponsor that has 501(c)(3) status and provide written authorization confirming its willingness to act as the fiscal sponsor
School districts and public higher educational institutions may apply
Collaborative applications will be considered and are encouraged, especially for planning grants
Located in Stanislaus County
Must be a program and project within the above-stated priority areas
Only one application per organization. Fiscal sponsors are allowed to apply on behalf of more than one program/project
