Deigo Capistran

Diego Capistran was born and raised in Modesto. He graduated from the University of California, Merced earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. His education and work has always centered on building connections that uplift the community. As the founder of JD Financial Services, he provides business services and guides first-time entrepreneurs through the process of starting and maintaining their businesses. In public health, Diego serves as a Senior Community Health Worker, where he focuses on bringing stakeholders together and building partnerships that create stronger, healthier communities.

Diego is also a member of the City of Modesto’s Equity Commission, where he helps advise on policies that advance equity and inclusion. In addition, he serves on the Adelante Fund grant committee through the Stanislaus Community Foundation, helping invest in programs that celebrate Hispanic culture, expand opportunities for youth, and strengthen community leadership.

At the heart of Diego’s work is a commitment to collaboration and a belief that lasting change happens when people come together to create opportunities and belonging for all.

As a NextGen on Board Fellow, Diego is serving a two-year term on NPO Board of Directors beginning October 2025.
